Our Origin Story
Why the “SQX” in “SQX Alts?” In 2023, a data vendor had an idea. This data vendor, called “SQX, Securities Quote Xchange,” was in the business of providing pricing for alternative investments (and had been for over two decades). However, SQX believed the alts world needed a centralized, reader-friendly resource for alts news and information.
And so SQX Alts was born.
Originally a mere side-project, SQX Alts has grown dramatically. Now, we’re partnering with some of the biggest names in the industry and adding content that goes beyond simply reporting the news. Whether you want to read about a new funding announcement, check out who’s offering job opportunities, look up the latest SEC filings, or reference an organization in our directory, SQX Alts is becoming the go-to resource for the alts world.
