AltMAPS
AltMAPS (Managed Alternatives Program Services) provides embedded operating infrastructure for independent RIAs building institutional-style alternatives programs. The firm focuses on governance, due diligence, portfolio discipline, and oversight processes typically associated with wirehouses, multi-family offices, and private banks, while leaving the RIA's independence intact.
Its framework is organized as two linked systems: an Alts Management System covering screening, due diligence, approved-list construction, and documentation; and a Portfolio Management System covering model construction, allocation and liquidity discipline, sizing/rebalancing logic, and ongoing oversight. Across the practice, the model emphasizes governance (criteria and compliance files), construction (portfolio design with illiquid assets), and oversight (sponsor/strategy monitoring, client-level reviews, and investment-committee documentation).
AltMAPS targets independent advisory firms at different maturity stages—founders, growth-oriented practices, portfolio-focused teams, and operations/compliance leads—and offers tiered service levels (Essentials through Enterprise) so firms can adopt the operating discipline as their alternatives program scales.
