Concorde, the Ann Arbor, Michigan-based independent broker-dealer and registered investment advisor, has named Elizabeth Leon vice president of operations, the firm announced Sept. 30. The firm did not disclose an effective date for the appointment or say whether Leon succeeds a prior head of operations.
Leon brings 30 years of financial industry experience across New York and South Florida. She most recently served as senior client service manager for the Southeast region at J.P. Morgan Advisors in Florida. Earlier, she held roles at Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and RBC Wealth Management, building experience across broker-dealer operations, investment advisory work and private banking.
Danielle Delongchamp, Concorde's president and chief executive officer, said Leon's three decades in the business make her well suited to run the firm's operations team. Delongchamp cited Leon's background in broker-dealer operations and client service management, along with her FINRA licensing, as strengths that will reinforce the operational support Concorde provides its financial professionals as the firm continues to grow.
Background
According to the firm, Leon has led, managed and coached service-focused teams throughout her career. Her work has also included risk mitigation, operational best practices and adherence to firm and regulatory standards.
Leon holds FINRA Series 4, 7, 9/10, 24, 31, 53, 63 and 66 licenses. She earned a degree in business administration and management from Berkeley College in New York.
