Lionsmark Capital Appoints Brian Johnson Vice President of National Accounts
Former American National executive to lead national account strategy and growth initiatives.
April 28, 2026

Lionsmark Capital has appointed Brian Johnson as Vice President of National Accounts, adding senior leadership to support the firm’s distribution strategy within the life insurance and premium financing markets.
Johnson will be responsible for developing and managing national account relationships, with a focus on expanding Lionsmark’s reach across insurance platforms and financial intermediary channels.
He joins Lionsmark following a consulting role advising independent insurance agencies and national carriers on growth strategy and operational efficiency. Prior to that, Johnson served as Vice President of Product Marketing and Development at American National of Texas, where he led product development initiatives and rollout strategies for independent agents.
Earlier in his career, Johnson owned and operated an insurance agency, which he later sold. He also served as National Sales Director at a large independent marketing organization, where he more than doubled sales. Additionally, he held a Vice President role at One Resource Group, where he trained agents on advanced planning strategies and supported a sales team that generated more than $500 million in production.
“Brian’s experience working with advisors, carriers, and distribution partners will strengthen our ability to deliver customized premium financing solutions and expand our relationships across the marketplace.”— Darren Sugiyama, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Lionsmark Capital
The appointment reflects continued activity across the insurance distribution landscape, as firms expand leadership teams to support advisor engagement and platform growth.
