Barnum joins from iCapital and Cetera with more than 20 years in alternatives and private wealth, charged with sharpening Inland’s product strategy while deepening the firm’s reach into the broker-dealer and RIA channels.

OAK BROOK, Ill. (As of July 20, 2026) – Inland Real Estate Investment Corporation (“Inland Investments”), an industry-leading vertically integrated real estate investment and finance company with over $16 billion in assets under management, today announced the appointment of Andrew Barnum as Managing Director, Product Strategy.

Inland Investments is an industry leader specializing in offering public and private tax-advantaged, growth and income real estate solutions to retail investors spanning virtually every sector of commercial real estate. Mr. Barnum will report to Matthew Fries, CEO and President of Inland Investments.

In this role, Mr. Barnum will serve as a key member of the Inland Investments leadership team, helping advance product strategy and execution across the platform. He will lead a team focused on four core priorities: competitive intelligence and benchmarking of products offered in the marketplace; identifying and advancing new product development opportunities for Inland Investments; responding to due diligence inquiries; and managing product- and research-related relationships with third-party due diligence firms and platform providers. He will also play an important role in strengthening Inland Investments’ relationships with broker-dealer and RIA partners by supporting education, training and engagement related to new and existing products.

Prior to joining Inland Investments, Mr. Barnum was Senior Vice President, Wealth Managers at iCapital, where he led the independent broker dealer channel. Previously he served as Senior Partner, Strategic Relationships at Cetera Financial Group, where he was responsible for all alternative strategic partnerships across Cetera Financial Group’s network of broker/dealers and RIAs.  

Mr. Barnum holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Delaware. He served as a Director on the board of ADISA from 2018-2019, is a member of the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives, is a CAIA Charterholder and holds Series 7, 6, 22, 66, and 63 licenses with FINRA.
